Home & Construction has reported significant growth year-over-year as many locked-down DIYers grew inspired throughout the pandemic.1 Microsoft Advertising Insights found that Home & Construction searches are presently outpacing clicks, and cost per clicks are returning to pre-pandemic levels.

When looking at top queries, we found that searches including the word ‘contractor’ are up 61% compared to this time last year. Resale searches related to consignment and thrifting are also seeing a lift, likely fueled by a combination of inventory limitations and increased environmental awareness.

We found that when using a multitouch attribution view, +28% points of conversions were attributed, highlighting the importance of using Microsoft Audience Network along with your search campaigns.2
